The amount we must pay at the pump in recent months has gone up, especially with the price of oil hitting a hundred dollars and a little over. Many of us are experiencing the squeeze of these prices, so what better way than to check out this list of gasoline credit cards to lower your costs or at least get a little back.
The first card on the list is the Texaco credit cards. There are three different options with this company depending on whether you are a business, personal account, or whether you want a little more out of the card. The Texaco cards are only valid at Texaco or Chevron in the US and Canada. They do offer you 5% cashback or more depending on the card choice, and if you go with the premium card you will receive travel discounts on tires, airline tickets, car services, and more.
CITGO credit cards are another option that you have in the US. These credit cards can help you earn up to 50 dollars in cash back as well as 15% rebate on your purchases within 90 days of taking out the card. After that you would be regulated to a regular 5% rebate on your purchases at any of the CITGO stores. The purchases will include gas and any item in the convenience store.
Go Gas is a universal card meaning that you can use it in almost any gas station around the country and still get some cash back. This credit card may be a better option if you don’t have a particular station or if you travel frequently around the US. Many of the gas stations have specific states that they have reached. For example the Hess station is not available in Colorado, but it is a huge southern gas station, where as Shell is almost everywhere at this point in time.
When you choose a credit card from the gasoline list of credit cards there are a few things you should pay attention to besides where you can use it. Some of the cards offer a deduction on the pump price such as a penny or ten cents, while other cards will let you earn cash back. The cash back option usually takes a little while to accumulate unless you use the card frequently like a trucker would. Some of the credit cards on the gasoline list of credit cards offer cash back or discounts on maintenance as well.
